On Oct, 27 Mr. Eslami AEOI head in a visit paid to Isfahan province, initiated the construction of the new 10 MW research reactor, and offered the following remarks:
- This reactor’s building is not merely confined to its functions, but it will serve as an international center for the nuclear technology research training and activities.
- He added, the reactor activities are part of the nuclear fuel process for testing and assessment which plays an important role in training and research. The made capacity is used for producing isotopes in medical industry and for the production of radiopharmaceuticals. This issue is in line with the 20 years Comprehensive Nuclear Strategic Document which was unveiled with the presence of the President.
